Straight outta Cali comes platichunter, and boy-o-boy did he bring the heat! I was blown away at the detail in these illustrations--he seems to have a fetish for octo-tentacles!

Jay's Collab For Kids!

Thanks to good ol' JAY (Jay) for sending this wonderfully original collaboration--with a four-year-old! They knocked this little ditty out with colored pens and recycled stickers (great choice!!) JAY resides in the Philippines, and just mailed this out to michael in Virginia, USA--the book travels around the world!

Last night--24 Oct 09--was the L'amour Supreme arts/toys show at the Super 7 store in San Francisco. I was browsing through some photos of the evening, taken by zincsaucier442, and I was super stoked to see Book One of the SB Moleskine Project!


Even cooler--the fact it appears someone is taking a camera-phone picture of the entries thus far. Nice!

Official Kick-Off Notice

Welcome, welcome one and all.

I am really excited about this project, and hope you are as well. After about a month or so of culminating names and addresses, I received word this weekend from the first two entrants: phantomfauna (Ben) in Portland, OR and mondocoyote (Brian) in Kanagawa, Japan that each respectively got the journal and began drawing!

As I mentioned in the Skullbrain thread, since there are so many interested members, there are two separate journals in circulation. Once each person completes their entry, hopefully they will grace this blog with photos of their creation, and a notification to the next person that the journal is on its way.
